Abstract Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has posed unprecedented challenges to global health, and vaccination has emerged as a key preventive strategy. Understanding the level of knowledge and attitude toward COVID-19 vaccination among young adults is crucial for designing effective awareness campaigns, particularly in educated populations who can influence broader societal acceptance. Objective: This study aims to assess the level of knowledge and attitude regarding COVID-19 vaccination among educated young adults in selected areas of India. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 18–30-year-old educated individuals using a structured questionnaire. The survey collected demographic information, knowledge about COVID-19 vaccines, and attitudes toward vaccination. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and associations between demographic variables and knowledge/attitude levels were explored using appropriate statistical tests. Results: Preliminary findings indicate that while a majority of participants demonstrated adequate knowledge about COVID-19 vaccines, there were gaps in understanding vaccine efficacy, side effects, and eligibility criteria. Attitudes toward vaccination were generally positive, with most participants expressing willingness to be vaccinated. However, a small proportion exhibited hesitancy due to misinformation or concerns about safety. Significant associations were observed between education level, source of information, and knowledge/attitude scores. Conclusion: The study highlights that educated young adults in selected areas of India possess reasonably good knowledge and positive attitudes toward COVID-19 vaccination, though targeted educational interventions are necessary to address misconceptions and vaccine hesitancy. These findings can inform policymakers and healthcare professionals in planning awareness programs to enhance vaccination coverage among young adults.
