| Abstract | Adhesive capsulitis is a debilitating shoulder condition marked by severe pain, progressive stiffness, and significant functional limitation, often impairing daily activities. Conventional physiotherapy offers symptomatic relief, but restoring optimal mobility remains challenging. Muscle Energy Techniques (MET), involving targeted patient-initiated muscle contractions, have emerged as a promising intervention to reduce pain, enhance range of motion, and improve overall shoulder function. This review critically evaluates current evidence on the effectiveness of MET in managing adhesive capsulitis. |
