Abstract Breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL) is a chronic and often debilitating consequence of breast cancer treatment, primarily caused by lymphatic obstruction following surgery or radiotherapy. It results in pain, swelling, and functional impairment of the affected upper limb, thereby limiting daily activities and work participation. Although rehabilitation is a cornerstone of BCRL management, the optimal timing for intervention remains uncertain. This study aims to evaluate how early initiation of rehabilitation influences functional recovery and work ability in women with unilateral BCRL.
