Preparation Of An Awareness Module On Financial Literacy For Students At Higher Secondary Level

Abstract This paper explores the awareness of financial literacy among higher secondary school students through a preparation of awareness module. An experimental method was used in this study on a sample of 30 higher secondary students. The module focused on essential financial concepts such as budgeting, saving, and responsible money management. The Pre-test and post-test scores were used to measure the improvement in students’ awareness after the intervention. The results indicated that the prepared learning module was effective in enhancing students’ financial literacy. It was also found that girls possessed higher financial literacy levels compared to boys. The study concludes that financial literacy education at the higher secondary level is crucial for developing students’ financial understanding and decision-making skills, preparing them for future financial responsibilities, and promoting financial independence.
