Execution of Decrees Under the Civil Procedure Code, 1908

| Abstract | Execution of decrees is the stage at which a successful litigant actually receives the benefit of a judgment. It is the process through which a court ensures compliance with its decision. While the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (CPC) provides a detailed and systematic framework for this stage under Sections 36–74 and Order XXI, the ground reality in Indian courts shows that execution remains one of the most time-consuming and complex phases of civil litigation. |
