Abstract	This paper presents a comparative study of university libraries in Ahmedabad district, focusing on their year of establishment, collections, services, and application of Information Communication Technology (ICT). It also provides a brief introduction to Ahmedabad city and its educational significance. The study outlines its objectives, scope, and limitations, and identifies key parameters used for comparison. The study aims to provide useful insights for strengthening library resources and services, thereby enhancing their role in academic and research development. By comparing both older and recently established institutions, it underlines how traditional strengths and modern innovations together shape the evolving library landscape in the district. It also emphasizes the importance of collaboration and resource sharing to maximize access and impact. Furthermore, it highlights the challenges faced by university libraries and offers recommendations for their future improvement
