| Abstract | The purposes of this study were: (1) to investigate the level of teaching effectiveness of the Sangha lower secondary school teachers in Southern Laos; and (2) to compare teaching effectiveness categorized by teachers’ status and teaching experience. This research employed a quantitative research approach, utilizing a questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection. The sample consisted of 142 lower secondary school teachers, selected using the Krejcie and Morgan sample size determination table. The collected data were analyzed using mean (????̄), standard deviation (SD), t-test, and ANOVA. The findings revealed that the overall teaching effectiveness of the Sangha lower secondary teachers in Southern Laos was at a high level. When comparing based on status, it was found that civil servant teachers had higher mean scores in lesson planning, while contract teachers scored higher in classroom management and promotion of collaborative learning (p < 0.05). Furthermore, when comparing by teaching experience, teachers with more than 11–15 years and over 15 years of experience demonstrated greater competence in learning assessment and learner-centered instructional practices (p < 0.05). |
