| Abstract | The paper presents a comparative analysis of land utilization changes in Jodhpur District and the state of Rajasthan between 2011-12 and 2021-22. Rajasthan faces exceptional challenges in land use due to its arid climate, sparse vegetation, and reliance on agriculture. Jodhpur despite part of arid climate showcases diverse land-use patterns, agricultural growth and balancing social - economic development. The research utilizes government land use published records to examine how land categories such as forest, agricultural, barren, fallow lands, urban, and economic development evolved over the decade. It aims to apprise future land use planning and policy formulations for both local and state-level governance. |
| Keywords | Arid climate, land use, sustainable, economic, planning. |
