| Abstract | Ningthoukhongjam Khelchandra Singh, a perennial fountain of wisdom, oftenly regarded as the encyclopaedia of Manipur, the repository of the public accomplishment, delved into the several disciplines of his society and published many articles, books, research papers, etc. Many researchers came to get in touch with him for gaining knowledge of traditional history, literatures, costumes, rituals, sword and spear, astrology, old Meitei archaic scripts, games and sports, etc. The contributions of N. Khelchandra Singh in the field of historical, cultural and literary writings of Manipur are of great consequences. He was, in real sense, the Pandit of Manipur. |
