Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has completely changed how universities teach students. This study looks at how well online teaching works compared to traditional classroom teaching in Commerce and Management courses. The research involved 180 students and 35 teachers from well-known Indian universities, using both surveys and interviews. We examined things like how engaged students were, what they learned, how well they understood concepts, communication quality, and overall satisfaction.
The results show that online teaching is great for flexibility, reaching more students, and building technology skills. However, traditional classroom teaching is still better for face-to-face interaction, maintaining discipline, and helping students understand complex ideas more deeply. The study finds that combining both approaches using online tools along with in-person learning works best for Commerce and Management subjects. This research provides solid evidence and practical suggestions for teachers, universities, and education officials who want to improve how higher education is delivered.
