| Abstract | In educational research, emotional intelligence (EI) has gained major interest, especially in association with educator motivation, well-being, and performance. In order to explore how emotional intelligence may enhance the drive of educators for their work, this study reviews empirical research conducted over the last ten years (2015-2025). This research explores the way emotionally intelligent educators have lower rates of burnout and greater degrees of job engagement, self-efficacy, and resilience. It is done by relying on popular concepts of emotional intelligence and motivation theory, especially Self-Determination Theory. The results show that EI enhances both educator satisfaction and pupil achievement in a positive way by acting as a predictor and facilitator of job motivation. Furthermore, by highlighting important mediating elements like support from institutions and self-efficacy, the review proposes for thorough incorporation of emotional intelligence training within teacher instructional and professional growth programs. |
