Abstract ABSTRACT

The evolution of digital payment systems has significantly influenced consumer behavior in the e-commerce landscape. Among these innovations, Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) has emerged as a flexible financial solution, especially appealing to Generation Z. This study aims to examine the various psychological, financial, and behavioral factors that influence the adoption of BNPL services among Gen Z consumers. The research focuses on dimensions such as impulsive buying behavior, personal innovativeness, perceived risk, and perceived usefulness, which collectively shape consumer attitudes and decision-making in digital transactions.
As e-commerce continues to expand, understanding the mindset and financial preferences of younger consumers becomes essential for fintech service providers and online retailers. The study explores how perceptions of convenience, affordability, and control over spending impact the acceptance and use of BNPL options. Furthermore, the research highlights the implications of financial behavior patterns and risk perception in shaping the future of digital credit usage. The findings aim to contribute to the academic discourse on digital consumer finance and provide strategic insights for improving user engagement and responsible usage of BNPL services in the evolving digital economy.
