Organizational Behavior and Neuroscience: Bridging the Gap Between Brain Science and Workplace Dynamics

Author(s) Dr. Ferose Pallimanhayalil
Country India
Abstract Organizational Behavior (OB) studies human behavior in workplace settings, focusing on motivation, leadership, decision-making, and team dynamics. Recent advances in neuroscience have introduced a new dimension—Neuro-Organizational Behavior, which explores the neural mechanisms underlying workplace behavior. This article reviews key intersections between neuroscience and OB, including decision-making, emotional regulation, leadership, motivation, and team interactions. By integrating concepts such as neuroplasticity, emotional intelligence, and brain network connectivity, organizations can design evidence-based interventions to enhance employee performance, wellbeing, and engagement. The article highlights practical implications and future research directions for applying neuroscience insights to organizational practice.
