| Abstract | This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the researchers’ capabilities of tertiary physical education instructors and their research output. The researcher employed a descriptive-correlational research methodology comprising 45 tertiary physical education instructors. The researcher used descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Pearson’s r) to analyze the data and address the study questions. The study’s findings indicate that of the 16 determinants, one (1) has attained an advanced level, five (5) are nearing proficiency, and ten (10) are at a proficient level. Concerning the participants’ productivity, the majority have failed to submit any research work, either as a poster or a full paper presentation, individually or collectively, online or onsite, with figures ranging from 48.9% (22 individuals) to 82.2% (37 individuals). Ultimately, despite their expertise in key elements of research capability such as research planning, methodology, data analysis, and article composition, there is no significant correlation between research productivity, whether in terms of publications or poster presentations. |
