Nanotechnology in Medicine: Advances, Applications, and Future Directions

Abstract Nanoscience and nanotechnology have ushered in transformative breakthroughs across diverse scientific fields, especially in medicine. This paper reviews the origins, synthesis, characterization, and current as well as prospective applications of nanotechnology in drug delivery, diagnostics, surgery, and health care. Despite significant promise, social, economic, and ethical challenges remain. This review offers a broad perspective on nanoscience's journey, its integration into medical research, and outlines critical considerations for widespread, responsible adoption.
