| Abstract | This paper explores the revolutionary effect of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the legal world since it examines its effects on efficiency, the challenges, and the resultant adaptation of human expertise. For law firms, operational expenses are decreased also efficiency is greatly improved by AI-based technologies automating contract management, document review, and legal research. But the use of AI is not risk-free since there are worries over algorithmic bias, data privacy, and the ability to generate false answers, which are commonly known as “hallucinations.” This article contends that instead of displacing lawyers, AI is changing their roles, moving focus away from repetitive, mechanical tasks to more high-level, client-oriented work requiring distinctively human skills such as ethical judgment, emotional intelligence and empathy. The conclusion envisions what is the future for legal practice. It suggests a hybrid model in which AI acts as a tool complementing the work of new, legally capable, AI-literate legal professionals but not possible to replacing them. |
