| Abstract | In today’s modern apartment systems, managing water usage fairly and efficiently is a growing challenge. Most residential buildings charge all residents equally, regardless of how much water they actually consume. This leads to wastage, disputes, and lack of accountability. To overcome this, the Flow Pay system is proposed—an IoT-based smart water usage monitoring and billing solution that measures real-time water consumption for each flat, detects leaks, and automatically generates bills based on actual usage. The system integrates flow sensors, ESP32 microcontroller, solenoid valve, and cloud platforms (Firebase/Blynk) for real-time data monitoring and control. It provides a mobile application interface for users to track usage, receive alerts, and view bills. Flow Pay promotes fairness, transparency, and sustainability through the idea of “Pay as per the water you use.” |
