| Abstract | India's declining agricultural output is a complicated problem because of many factors, including soil erosion, climate change, and resource depletion, are at play at once; the improper use of groundwater and water resources is also a contributing factor. Cloud computing, big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are examples of green computing technologies that provide useful alternatives for resolving these problems. This study examines how green computing affects sustainable agriculture, particularly as it relates to ecology, water management, soil fertility, and precision farming. It is possible to reduce water and chemical use while simultaneously increasing agricultural yields by utilising IoT sensors, real-time data processing, and sophisticated irrigation methods. Cloud computing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) models enable consumers access to knowledge that helps them make predictive decisions. Despite the enormous potential, there are still some obstacles that must be overcome, such as the high cost of IoT installations and the lack of digital education. This research paper shows how green computing might help Indian agriculture advance towards sustainability and environmental friendliness. |
