Abstract Three-dimensional (3D) printing is revolutionizing orthodontic practice by enabling the fabrication of customized appliances and improving workflow efficiency. This technology allows for the creation of accurate dental models, clear aligners, surgical guides, and retainers. The most common 3D printing techniques used in orthodontics are stereolithography and digital light processing. Introducing 3D printing into orthodontic practice requires specific hardware, software, and workflow considerations. Digital orthodontics, integrating 3D printing and imaging, has revolutionized orthodontic treatment by enabling precise customization of appliances like clear aligners, bonding trays, and splints. These advancements improve efficiency, adaptability, and patient outcomes, reshaping modern orthodontic practices.
