Abstract The rapid transformation to digital has totally changed the manner in which creative works are produced, distributed, and consumed and as a result, has posed a new challenge to the status quo of the existing copyright frameworks. This study looks into the digital age's changes of copyright law and focuses on problems like online piracy, fair use, and the coordination of global copyright protection by international treaties. It also investigates how the technologies that are in the forefront, such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and digital watermarking, are bringing changes to the enforcement and ownership models. The findings underscore the urgent need that copyright systems must be liberal to balance between the rights of the creator and the access by the population, thereby, facilitating the process of innovation as well as cultural fortification of the digital economy.
