Abstract Change is a never-ending process as it occurs in every aspect of society. Thus, it is apt to say that society is subjected to continuous change because it is impossible for a society to remain constantly static. In view of this, the paper aims at to conduct a reflective study of Rabindranath Tagore’s select short stories and tires to find how can literature become an instrument of social change.
