| Abstract | Cyberbullying presents very considerable difficulties within an online media environment, and innovative media literacy pedagogies can be sought as a response to this challenge. This research explores the potential of new pedagogical strategies in media literacy education through the investigation of an immersive practicum of cyberbullying prevention learning in simulation form. Based on a qualitative exploratory case study research design, five Indian educators and five Indian learners were involved in exploring how they saw the incorporation of interactive, empathy-based experiences, such as virtual reality and role-play simulations, into the university course. The study uses thematic analysis to determine immersive learning as an effective tool used in developing empathy, ethical reasoning, and reflective awareness in students and pinpoints issues of access, emotional sensitivity, and pedagogic readiness. The results highlight the importance of experiential education as an intermediate to creative media practice and digital ethics education. This paper will suggest a structure for integrating simulation-based modules in a media literacy curriculum, calling upon interdisciplinary coordination among educators, technologists and creative practitioners. This study eventually helps in redefining digital pedagogy as a venue of moral practice and metaphysical learning. |
