| Abstract | Sustainable development extends beyond human welfare to include the ethical treatment and preservation of all living beings. This study explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can serve as a transformative tool in preventing animal cruelty and promoting humane, sustainable ecosystems. By aligning animal welfare with the UN Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Goals 12, 13, 14, and 15—it highlights the moral and environmental significance of addressing cruelty as part of sustainability. The paper examines the role of AI technologies such as machine learning, computer vision, and data analytics in detecting, preventing, and reducing animal abuse across sectors like agriculture, research, wildlife protection, and entertainment. |
