| Abstract | This study explores the relationship between leadership style and team communication in organizational settings. The main objective was to determine how different leadership approaches- specifically autocratic and democratic affect the quality of communication within teams. Data were collected from 100 respondents using a structured questionnaire. The findings reveal that 70% of respondents identified their leaders as autocratic, while 30% viewed them as democratic. Despite the dominance of autocratic leadership, 83% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that their leader's approach improves team communication.Statistical analysis indicateda weak but significant positive correlation between leadership style and communication improvement (r= 0.230, p = 0.021). Regression results further confirmed that leadership style is a meaningful predictor of communication effectiveness (B = 0.390, p = 0.021). The study concludes that while autocratic leadership can support structured communication, adopting more democratic and participative practices enhances openness, trust, and collaboration. Therefore, organizations are encouraged to promote inclusive leadership behaviors to strengthen team communication and overall performance. |
