Comparative Analysis of Startup Ecosystems: India, Maharashtra, and the United States (2022–2025)

Author(s) Mr. PRATHAM PRATIK BHARNE
Country India
Abstract This study conducts a comparative assessment of the startup ecosystems in India, Maharashtra, and the United States during 2022–2025, focusing on funding trends, ecosystem evolution, and recovery after the pandemic. Drawing on reliable secondary data from Tracxn, PwC India, and GlobalData, it identifies Maharashtra as a key yet fluctuating contributor to India’s entrepreneurial progress. The analysis shows that India and Maharashtra experienced steeper funding declines than the U.S., but signs of revival emerged by 2024. The paper offers policy and investment strategies to enhance capital flow, innovation support, and long-term ecosystem stability.
