| Abstract | In many developing countries, people are turning to crypto because their financial systems keep breaking under pressure—currencies crash, banks tighten limits, and rules shift with no warning. This study blends blockchain data, global trade patterns, and cases from Venezuela, Nigeria, and Turkey to show how economic stress pushes everyday people toward digital assets as a safer, faster alternative.Governments respond in all kinds of ways—some crack down, some tighten the rules, and others cautiously allow crypto to grow. This creates a back-and-forth struggle between people just trying to protect their money and leaders trying to keep the whole economy steady. The study shows how crypto is changing everyday financial choices and why countries need policies that understand how people actually use technology, especially in places where the economy is already on shaky ground. |
