Abstract Background: Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome (MTSS), commonly described as “shin splints,” is a frequent lower-limb overuse injury in sports involving repetitive impact such as basketball. Continuous sprinting, jumping, and rapid directional changes place players at heightened risk.
