Design and Analysis of Aerodynamics of in a Race Car for Drag Reduction

Abstract This research uses Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to improve the aerodynamic performance of a racing car. A 3D SolidWorks model was analyzed to study airflow, pressure zones, and wake formation. After modifying the nose, side pods, and rear wing, the optimized design achieved a 29% reduction in drag, resulting in better stability and efficiency. The study highlights CFD as an effective and affordable tool for developing high-performance racing vehicles.
