| Abstract | This study examines the impact of Emotional Intelligence (EI) and conflict-resolution strategies on managerial effectiveness among employees in the banking industry of Southern Rajasthan. Despite extensive global research on EI, region-specific empirical evidence in this context remains limited. The study aims to assess EI levels, identify dominant conflict-handling styles, and analyse their combined influence on managerial performance. A quantitative, survey-based design was adopted, and data were collected from 120 employees across public and private banks using a structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, reliability testing, correlation, and regression analyses were applied to interpret the findings. Results reveal that employees demonstrate high emotional awareness, regulation, empathy, and social skills, contributing to strong EI levels. Collaborative, compromising, and communication-based conflict styles emerged as the most frequently used, while avoidance was least preferred. Statistical outcomes show a significant positive relationship between EI and conflict-resolution effectiveness, and EI was found to be a strong predictor of both managerial performance and collaborative conflict behaviour. The study highlights the importance of integrating EI development and structured conflict-management training into HR strategies to enhance decision-making, interpersonal relations, and organisational efficiency within banking institutions in Southern Rajasthan. |
