| Abstract | The study analyzed the relationship between perceived quality, aesthetic appeal, and purchase intention toward eco-friendly bags among consumers in Metro Manila, Philippines. It aimed to determine how product durability, functionality, and visual design influenced consumer perceptions and purchasing behavior toward sustainable packaging. Using a descriptive-correlational research design, the study gathered data from 169 respondents through a structured questionnaire. Statistical analyses, including Pearson’s correlation and regression analysis, were applied to identify the relationships among the variables. Results revealed a substantial positive correlation between durability and purchase intention (r = .626, p < .001) and between durability and aesthetic appeal (r = .637, p < .001). Functionality was also found to have a strong positive relationship with purchase intention (r = .683, p < .001) and aesthetic appeal (r = .670, p < .001). Additionally, purchase intention and aesthetic appeal were significantly correlated (r = .670, p < .001), indicating that visually appealing and durable eco-friendly bags increased consumers’ likelihood of purchase. Regression analysis showed that perceived quality and aesthetic appeal accounted for a significant proportion of the variance in purchase intention, demonstrating that both factors strongly influenced consumer behavior. These findings emphasized that improving the functionality, durability, and design of eco-friendly bags enhanced consumer trust, satisfaction, and purchasing decisions. The study highlighted the importance for manufacturers and marketers to balance quality and aesthetics in developing sustainable packaging that met both environmental and consumer expectations in Metro Manila. |
