| Abstract | Maintaining driver health and comfort during vehicle operation is essential for ensuring safety, preventing fatigue, and reducing accident risks. Current vehicle systems focus largely on external safety measures while neglecting the physiological state of the driver. This research proposes an integrated Driver Health Monitoring and Automatic HVAC Adjustment System (DHM-HVAC) that uses smartwatch-derived physiological data to dynamically regulate the in-cabin environment. The system continuously gathers biometric data—heart rate, heart rate variability, oxygen saturation, and body temperature—and employs this data to automatically adjust the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. By adapting environmental parameters based on real-time health indicators, this model aims to maintain optimal thermal comfort and improve alertness. This study outlines the architecture, algorithms, and simulation results of this system, validating its potential to enhance driver safety and comfort. |
