| Abstract | Abstract This paper presents an extensive synthesis and humanized review of contemporary academic literature concerning the pervasive and fundamental role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the evolution of the global E-commerce and M-commerce landscape. Leveraging a substantial body of research, the study meticulously analyses the primary applications, significant benefits, structural challenges, and profound ethical considerations associated with AI adoption in digital commerce. The findings confirm that AI, powered by Machine Learning (ML) and Predictive Analytics, acts as the core driving force, profoundly enhancing customer experiences through hyper-personalization and automating operations like intelligent logistics and inventory control. A crucial focus of the analysis is the Indian E-commerce ecosystem, identifying it as a leading market for AI adoption alongside the banking sector, while simultaneously highlighting the unique challenges posed by its diverse consumer demographics, infrastructure deficits, and the resultant need for localized AI solutions. Ultimately, the research argues that while AI offers unprecedented opportunities for business growth and efficiency, its long-term success and the achievement of sustainable business growth are contingent upon resolving critical issues such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and mitigating algorithmic bias through the prioritization of ethical deployment and transparency. This comprehensive narrative serves as a vital resource for scholars and practitioners navigating the increasingly complex nexus of commerce and technology. |
