| Abstract | Women employees who manage both career and family commitments have serious concerns about work-life balance. This study looks at how well female teachers in the Nilgiris District’s private higher secondary schools manage their work and personal lives. It is especially difficult to balance work and personal life in this area because of the hard surfaces, cold environment, wild animals, and lack of transportation. Other factors include the need to prepare students for public exams and to live up to the high standards of private school operations. The study's goals are to (I) examine the respondents’ demographic profile and (ii) determine the elements affecting their work-life balance. The research design chosen was descriptive. A well structured questionnaire was used to get primary data from 30 female teachers, and websites and journals were used to gather secondary data. Convenient sampling was used. Frequency analysis, chi-square , correlation, and measures of central tendency were used to analyse the data. The study highlights the need for a more encouraging workplace and offers knowledge of how female educators in a mountain area balance their combined responsibilities. |
