Author(s) Ashka Raj

Abstract Friendship as a form of relationship or a bond is important for the individual. Friends help each other in understanding themselves and balancing each other's emotions as well as life. Campus friendships can be beneficial and supportive, but they can also carry an imminent risk of disappointment. In the contemporary period, where the seats are limited, the notion of competition is prevalent, and everyone is struggling to secure their future by means of education and securing a job, it becomes intriguing to know how the issue of reservation impacts friendship. The paper deals with the notion of campus friendship and how the intersection of merit, privilege, and reservation affects friendship by using secondary sources of data like articles and books.
