| Abstract | The “National Education Policy” (NEP) 2020 represents a landmark in the history of educational reform in India The National Education Policy 2020 introduce a high quality education system that is equitable, inclusive and forward looking focussing on a holistic and multidisciplinary approach. This is one of the most transformative reforms introduced in India’s education system since independence . While NEP focuses primarily on holistic learning, critical thinking, and multidisciplinary education, it also plays a significant role in shaping democratic values, leadership skills, and political awareness among students. NEP 2020 strongly emphasizes the integration and constitutional values throughout the Indian education system, from primary to higher education. This study try to examines how UG Curriculum of Political Science (Major) course under Dibrugarh University as per NEP 2020 contributes to creating future political leaders, especially among youth, and highlights its implications for democratic governance.
