| Abstract | The telecommunications industry in West Africa is experiencing rapid, complex changes driven by the rollout of 4G and 5G networks, advancements in cloud computing and AI, and the region’s broader move toward digital inclusion. As this digital transformation accelerates, competition for skilled, adaptable, and tech-savvy talent has increased, leading telecom companies to rethink their human resource strategies. This article highlights five key strategies for talent acquisition and retention: developing an employer brand and value proposition, targeted recruitment and talent pipeline development, offering attractive and flexible compensation packages, providing continuous learning and career development opportunities, and fostering inclusive leadership to boost employee engagement. |
