Abstract This study analyzes the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on the teaching-learning process from the perspective of students in the Economics degree program at a university in western Mexico. A qualitative case study approach was employed, using semi-structured interviews and classroom observations to understand how ICT-supported teaching strategies influence knowledge acquisition and student motivation. The findings show that integrating digital tools in teaching enhances participation, facilitates content comprehension, and promotes more autonomous learning. However, challenges remain in teacher training and technological infrastructure. The study concludes that the effective implementation of ICT in the classroom requires innovative pedagogical strategies and strengthened digital competencies for both teachers and students to maximize its impact on higher education.
