Blockchain-Based Fake Product Detection Using QR Code Authentication

Abstract	The rapid growth of counterfeit products in the market, especially in beauty and electronic goods, poses a serious threat to consumer safety and brand reputation. This research presents a blockchain-based authentication system that enables customers to verify product genuineness using uniquely generated QR codes. Each product is registered on a decentralized blockchain network, where component details are hashed and stored immutably. When a customer scans the QR code, the system recomputes the product hash and compares it with the blockchain record to detect tampering or fake components. The proposed model enhances transparency, prevents unauthorized modifications, and provides a reliable method for detecting counterfeit products.
