| Abstract | Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping simulation-based nursing education by enhancing fidelity, adaptiveness, and individualized learning experiences. AI-driven simulation platforms can provide real-time feedback, generate dynamic clinical scenarios, and support decision-making processes that strengthen clinical reasoning. This narrative review synthesizes recent literature regarding the evolving applications of AI-enhanced simulation in undergraduate nursing programs. Key themes include AI-enabled scenario personalization, intelligent debriefing, virtual patients, automated assessment, and challenges related to faculty readiness, ethical considerations, and resource requirements. The review concludes that AI-powered simulation represents a transformative pedagogical strategy capable of improving competency development and learner engagement. However, systematic integration, educator training, and institutional policies are essential for safe and effective adoption. |
