| Abstract | Belagavi district is historically and naturally prosperous, which has ample opportunities to develop tourism activities in the district. The tourism industry can boost the growth of Belagavi in many areas such as transportation, hotels and accommodations, local businesses, and various self-employment opportunities. Historical monuments, old temples, forts, waterfalls, rivers, natural mountains, etc., are creating a good atmosphere to develop the tourism sector. Less awareness, proper transportation, security issues, basic infrastructure, and fewer initiatives by local bodies and the government are hindering the growth of the tourism industry. With the help of available resources, proper planning, developing sustainable tourism, collaborative participation, worthy investments, and a skilled and creative surrounding environment, development will help to enhance tourism in the district. The growth of the tourism sector helps to develop other service sectors and employment opportunities. |
