| Abstract | Moringa oleifera and chromium picolinate are increasingly recognized for their roles in supporting glucose homeostasis and metabolic function. Moringa oleifera contains abundant bioactive compounds, such as flavonoids and phenolic acids, and preclinical studies indicate that extracts from its leaves and seeds can reduce blood glucose levels, enhance insulin action, and protect against oxidative and lipid-related stress. Nevertheless, evidence from human studies remains limited and variable. Chromium is an essential trace element involved in insulin signaling and macronutrient metabolism, and inadequate intake is associated with insulin resistance and metabolic disorders. Chromium picolinate, a well-absorbed form, has demonstrated improvements in glycemic control at intakes of 200–1,000 µg per day. More rigorous clinical trials are required to validate their efficacy and potential combined use. |
