| Abstract | Lifelong learning is pivotal for rural development, bridging gaps in education, skills, and access to opportunities. The rural sector, which forms a considerable proportion of the population in developing countries like India, often suffers from gaps in educational infrastructure, outdated agricultural practices, and socio-economic disparities. Lifelong learning offers solutions by equipping individuals with skills tailored to their specific needs, fostering economic resilience, and enabling marginalized groups to participate in decision-making processes. It enhances employability, empowers marginalized groups, and promotes sustainable practices. By integrating information and communication technology (ICT) and gender-sensitive approaches, lifelong learning serves as a foundation for empowering rural communities. |
