Lifelong Learning for Rural Transformation

Author(s) Mr. Sialloa Sumleailal Aimol, Prof. Lamalu Thaimei Thaimei
Country India
Abstract Lifelong learning is pivotal for rural development, bridging gaps in education, skills, and access to opportunities. The rural sector, which forms a considerable proportion of the population in developing countries like India, often suffers from gaps in educational infrastructure, outdated agricultural practices, and socio-economic disparities. Lifelong learning offers solutions by equipping individuals with skills tailored to their specific needs, fostering economic resilience, and enabling marginalized groups to participate in decision-making processes. It enhances employability, empowers marginalized groups, and promotes sustainable practices. By integrating information and communication technology (ICT) and gender-sensitive approaches, lifelong learning serves as a foundation for empowering rural communities.
