Abstract	ABSTRACT: This study explores the demographic profile and environmental sustainability in Gangtok,Ward Number 14, Deorali Upper Siyari Goan, Sikkim. The demographic analysis highlights population dynamics, literacy rates, age distribution, and livelihood patterns, reflecting the socio-economic fabric of the area. Concurrently, the research examines the environmental conditions, emphasizing challenges such as urbanization, waste management, deforestation, and conservation efforts. The findings reveal a growing population with increasing pressure on local resources, underscoring the necessity for sustainable development practices. The study advocates for integrated strategies that promote ecological preservation while accommodating socio-economic growth, aiming to achieve a balanced, sustainable environment in this rapidly developing region of Sikkim.
