| Abstract | Anganwadi Centres play a crucial role in the implementation of India’s Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme by delivering essential services related to child nutrition, health monitoring, immunization support, and maternal care at the grassroots level. Despite their importance, Anganwadi operations in many regions continue to rely heavily on manual record-keeping and fragmented digital tools, leading to data inconsistencies, delayed reporting, increased administrative burden, and limited real-time monitoring of child welfare services. In response to the growing emphasis on transparency, accountability, and data-driven governance in public welfare systems, several digital initiatives have been introduced at the state and national levels. However, existing platforms such as state ICDS applications and centralized tools like Poshan Tracker largely focus on compliance-oriented data reporting rather than supporting field-level operational efficiency. These systems often require repetitive data entry, provide limited automation, and lack integrated verification and beneficiary engagement mechanisms. This research is situated within the broader context of digital transformation in public welfare administration and addresses the identified gaps by proposing a comprehensive Anganwadi Support Application. The study builds upon prior efforts in ICT-enabled welfare systems while emphasizing worker-centric design, automation, and integrated service delivery to enhance the effectiveness and reliability of Anganwadi operations under the ICDS framework. |
