| Abstract | Background-This study evaluates the effect of Marma chikitsa in the treatment of Brachial Plexitis, a condition characterized by inflammation of the brachial plexus—a network of nerves that governs movement and sensation in the shoulder, arm, and hand. Brachial Plexitis, also known as Neuralgic Amyotrophy or Parsonage-Turner Syndrome, typically presents with sudden and severe pain, weakness, tingling, and restricted mobility. While conventional treatment focuses on pain management and functional restoration, alternative therapies such as Marma chikitsa from the Ayurvedic tradition are being explored for their potential efficacy. Matarial and Method -This case study presents a 39-year-old female treated at the Marma OPD of PTKLS, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, using Marma stimulation over 15 days. Result The patient experienced marked improvement in pain, stiffness, and arm mobility. The treatment proved to be safe, cost-effective, and sustainable, with no recurrence of symptoms during follow-up.Conclusion These findings suggest that Marma chikitsa may be a promising complementary treatment for Brachial Plexitis. |
