Abstract	‘AI is perhaps the most transformational technology of our time, and healthcare is perhaps AI's most pressing application.’ - Satya Nadella. Artificial Intelligence is increasingly recognised as a key component of health information systems and medical informatics, with growing applications across healthcare delivery, pharmaceutical research, and organisational decision-making. Globally, Artificial Intelligence technologies are being used to support clinical decision support systems, improve healthcare efficiency, and expand access to healthcare services. In the Indian context, this technological transition is gradually emerging within the strategic frameworks of listed healthcare and pharmaceutical companies, where Artificial Intelligence is viewed not only as an information technology tool but also as an enabler of innovation, operational efficiency, and organisational resilience.
