A Study to Assess the Effectiveness of Touch Therapy in Reducing Pain Among Patients Admitted in an Orthopaedic Surgery Ward

Abstract	Background: Orthopedic surgical procedures are associated with a high incidence of pain, which can interfere with rehabilitation and daily living activities. Touch therapies, such as therapeutic touch (TT), are a form of complementary and integrative medicine (CIM) used to manage pain and enhance well-being. However, high-quality evidence supporting their efficacy has been limited. Aim(s): The study aimed to assess pre- and post-test pain levels in control and experimental groups, evaluate the effectiveness of touch therapy in the experimental group, and identify any association between post-test pain levels and selected demographic variables.
