| Abstract | This paper tries to understand the perception levels of households in Meerut District, Uttar Pradesh regarding rooftop solar systems. The purpose of solar panels is to use the photovoltaic (PV) effect to turn sunlight into electrical power. They are utilized in commercial, industrial, and residential settings and are essential to the capture of renewable energy. This study investigates consumer views of solar panels, concentrating on aspects that influence their adoption, such as cost, environmental consciousness, government incentives, and technological reliability. A wide range of demographics were surveyed in order to gather data. It also looks at possible adoption barriers and how consumer behavior is affected by public consciousness and trust. Solar energy is still a major challenge, though, because adoption has not increased to a level that can be considered sufficient. The outcomes have the intention to give producers, marketers, and policymakers helpful data for creating strategies that meet consumer demands and facilitate the shift to sustainable energy systems. The ultimate goal of this research is to help solar panels become more widely accepted. The study employs a simple random sampling method to gather comprehensive data. |
