Abstract Chhattisgarh, with a significant tribal population and large rural–forest regions, faces distinct challenges in higher education accessibility, quality, and student development. The Government of Chhattisgarh has implemented several initiatives to strengthen academic infrastructure, improve teaching quality, provide financial support, and empower tribal students through targeted schemes. This paper examines the key government initiatives aimed at higher education quality enhancement and tribal area student development.
