| Abstract | Working conditions in the brick industry are not conducive to the well-being and health of workers. The brick industry is one of the industries where workers face the most health-related problems. The current study examined the health status of workers in brick industries in Sirsa district. A descriptive research design was used. This study utilized primary data using pre-tested questionnaires. SPSS was used to analyze the data. The results indicate that among brick workers, the highest prevalence of musculoskeletal problems (42.11%) and the lowest prevalence of respiratory problems (17.37%) was observed. Male workers have a higher prevalence of health-related problems than female workers. There is no significant difference between male and female workers in respiratory problems, while there is a significant difference between male and female workers in musculoskeletal problems and injuries/accidents. There is no significant association between age and health among brick industry workers. There is no significant difference between different categories of workers in respiratory problems, while there is a significant difference in musculoskeletal problems and injuries/accidents. To improve workers' health, a health ranking system should be established for brick workers. |
